At the 1907 COGIC Convocation held in Jackson, a separation occurred among Jones and other Holiness leaders because of such disagreements. Ford is credited with inviting President Bill Clinton, a personal friend, to speak to the Eighty-Sixth International Holy Convocation on November 13, 1993.
