Second, the lady that assisted me did the remote log-in and somehow got me upgraded to v18.104.22.168 (was v22.214.171.124). I again tried Auto Fix numerous times on both machines with no results. After a week or two going back and forth I'm still in the same fix.The HP is performing regular LU's although a few times they have failed to download but it's at least protected.One is my main computer, an HP Win 8.1 64-bit, 2nd a Compaq Win 7 32-bit, last a Toshiba Laptop Win 8.1 64-bit.

You can update your Norton product with the latest version if you have an active subscription.
You can remotely update your current product to the latest version from your Norton account without any cost as long as you have an active subscription.
Though company has scheduled for the automatic update to apply this patch but that will take time. If you have already upgraded to the new OS or planning to upgrade then you can apply this patch manually.
