I want to do this with Windows 7 also, but if they are going to require reactivation each time I swap drives, its going to be a pain in the butt.Because it would require you to always have diskdrives that are the same size and model and if you upgraded one you'd have to upgrade them all, which is too expensive.I’ll gladly credit you and I’d be extremely grateful. If there are any issues with this article, then by all means PM me or leave a comment.
Usually just a hard drive will not trigger it, instead it's usually something major like a motherboard that may seem like you have it on a different computer now.It went a bit like this: Me: Ok, so just click on “All items”, it’s got that little symbol with all the squares next to it. Me: Hmmm, was before, is there something in particular that’s not working?Them: It actually says the is not compatible with IE 8, let me send you a screen grab: Yes! You see I’m a bit elated because this is precisely what I prophesised some time back when I wrote about The impending crisis that is Windows XP and IE 8.If you still can’t find an answer then you can make a thread with your problem, System specs (Can be found by running Dx Diag in the search bar of your start menu, or by using the run utility), mods that you’ve run, and a detailed description of your problem. Windows will trigger the o'l hardware change re-validation when there is an extensive harware change; updating your video card or changing a NIC won't do it but if you remove the drive and connect it to a sepperate machine it will request revalidation.
